Rougher Alternative Academy (RAA) serves students in grades 9-12.

The Rougher Alternative Academy was created to better meet the needs of Muskogee students who have been unsuccessful in the regular education program. The focus of Rougher Alternative Academy is to provide an educational experience for students at risk of dropping out that allows them the opportunity to succeed. With smaller class sizes, an emphasis on counseling, the arts and project-based learning, students that have been unsuccessful in the traditional setting can now find an opportunity to experience success. Through collaboration with the state department, the district and major stakeholders such as teachers, parents and the community, Muskogee Public Schools is building an alternative program that gives students at risk of dropping out a chance to become successful in an ever-changing world.
