Life As We Knew It
Author: Susan Pfeffer
This book is a deep, heartfelt story about a family that faces tragedy and possibly the end of the world. THe book shows how a family will care for each other when in danger, and how they are forced to react to the fates that they are dealt.With all the new changes that happen around them they will have to find a way to survive and adapt to their situation.

Hangman's Curse

If you are interested in eery mysteries then this book is for you. The Springfield 's are a private investigation family that goes from town to town uncovering all kinds of weird things going on. In this issue, they are called to Baker High School to solve the mystery of the hallucinating kids. The story takes weird turns and will have you on the edge of your seat till the very end.

This book is about a girl who has a lot of issues with her self. Cally is a girl struggling with the fact her brother is sick and her family is a little of the dysfunctional side. The book talks a lot about her time at sea pines and how she goes from being a "cutter" to back to a normal kid again. This book is a real reality check for someone who knows someone like this.

Elie Wiesel's Night
by Eric Webb
Elie Wiesel's "Night" is a very touching book. This is a true story based on Elie Wiesel's experiences as a Jew during the Holocaust. It talks about the adversities that Elie himself had to overcome. It is at times hard to read. It makes you realize how easy we have it in America . If you haven't read this book, I recommend that you read it.
Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul
Throughout the couple of years of my life I have read a series of Chicken Soup of the Soul. My favorite one of all was the one on teen relationships. I believe it was entitled Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul. It was a real inspiring book. It discussed many different topics on Love, Caring, and Sharing. I would like to recommend this book to many teenagers out there in this world, because it was a blessing to me and can be for you.

The Shadow Club
by Neal Shusterman
The Shadow Club is a very interesting book with lots of twists and turns. I'm sure many of us can relate to it. It's about a group of kids that form a club because they've always followed in someone else's shadow. I'm sure there has been a time that we all have been trailing behind someone that we feel we hate. This is a book about kids who have enemies. They start out playing a few harmless, practical jokes, but their fates twist and turn with unexpected surprises. I highly recommend this book. Once you pick it up, it's hard to put it down. It's called The Shadow Club and it's by Neal Shusterman .

THE SWORD OF TRUTH Series
by Terry Goodkind
This wonderful eight book series is some of the best fantasy series of novels I've ever read. They're all about Richard, a woods guide who discovers that he is actually the son of the Evil tyrant Darken Rahl. The first book starts out with Richard meeting Kahlan, a beautiful woman with a big secret. They eventually fall in love and and venture off to battle Darken Rahl. They go through all kinds of hardships but as with most fantasy novels they usually overcome them all. These books though, actually make it believable. Terry Goodkind creates a wonderful world with many creatures and characters that you just can't help but love. And even if you usually don't like fantasy you should definitely give these a try, because they are for the most part unlike the traditional fantasy novels. He writes very mature novels that are great books to curl up on the couch with. ( Yes, they are extremely long but trust me they go so fast that you won't hardly notice that they are eight hundred pages long!:p ) So do yourself a favor and go out and find a copy of the first book entitled The Wizard's First Rule. After you read this one you'll be so hooked you'll have to read the other seven.

The Harry Potter series is a very good set to get into if you are interested in fantasy and magic. The five book set is about an orphan named Harry who goes to live with his aunt and uncle until it is time for him to go to school. His aunt and uncle don't believe in magic and try to ban him from ever finding out about his parents who were killed by a dark wizard. The five books tell of his adventures at school and how he learns to deal with his magical powers and his worst enemy, Draco Malfoy. This would be a great set for any person who wants to read fun and exciting fiction.

R.L. Stine

Robert Lawrence Stine is one of my favorite authors of all time. He was born October 8, 1943 , in Columbus , Ohio . Before becoming a writer, he was a Junior High School Social Studies teacher. He writes juvenile horror novels for all ages. He has gained my interest since I was younger and I still like his novels today.
