MPS Invites Community to Attend District Showcase
MUSKOGEE, Okla. - Muskogee Public Schools will host the 2022 District Showcase on Thursday, December 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to present recently renovated and newly built facilities throughout the district. The showcase will include tours of the Grant Foreman and Alice Robertson school buildings along with a first look and tour of the new multipurpose arena at Rougher Village. The event will culminate with a State of the District address from MPS Superintendent Dr. Jarod Mendenhall.
“We look forward to showcasing the district to the public and celebrating the milestones we’ve accomplished in recent years,” said Dr. Jarod Mendenhall, Superintendent of Muskogee Public Schools. “This school year has been a stand out year for our students, teachers, and staff. This showcase is a great opportunity for members of our community to learn more about the district, while speaking with students and administrators and getting a first look at new facilities.
The event is free and open to the public. Lunch and transportation will be provided. Registration is required.

About MPS and the 2019 Bond
Muskogee Public Schools was founded in 1898. Today the district enrolls nearly 5,000 students from Pre-K to 12th grade across 13 school sites and has more than 600 employees including teachers, staff, and administrators. The 2019 bond proposal recommended by the Muskogee Public Schools long range planning committee, set forth by the board of education and passed by a supermajority citizen vote is the largest in the district’s history. The bond includes 13 projects at school sites throughout the district. To date, seven bond construction projects have been completed, three projects are currently underway, and three are on deck. All projects remain on schedule to be completed by the end of 2023.
