October Employees of the Month Recognized
MUSKOGEE, Okla. - Muskogee Public Schools recognized its October Employees of the Month during the regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting Tuesday evening at Tony Goetz Elementary.
October certified employees of the month are Louise Raigoza of Creek Elementary and Nelita Cash of the 8th & 9th Grade Academy at Alice Robertson.
Raigoza is a Reading Recovery teacher at Creek Elementary but stepped up admirably serving as a fourth-grade teacher for the first six weeks. She has served the families of MPS since joining the district in 2011.
Cash has made the transition from a fourth-grade teacher to the 8th & 9th Grade Academy where she makes reading fun and engaging for her students.
Support employees of the month are Norman McKinley of the 8th & 9th Grade Academy at Alice Robertson and Nigel Carter at Creek Elementary.
McKinley has been a member of MPS since 2015 and is a dedicated custodian serving the students at Alice Robertson.
Carter serves as a Behavioral Specialist at Creek Elementary and is a member of the varsity football coaching staff. He joined the district in 2018.
MPS would like to thank Buddy and Christy James from Smack That restaurant and Braden Nichols from Boomerang Eastside for donating gift certificates to this month’s employees of the month.
