MPS to Remain Virtual for the Remainder of the Week Due to Weather
MUSKOGEE, Okla. - Muskogee Public Schools announced Wednesday that all MPS schools will remain in virtual instruction for Thursday, Feb. 11 and Friday, Feb. 12, 2021 due to the current icy conditions and forecasted below-freezing temperatures.
All students will continue in virtual instruction for the next two days and should follow the virtual schedule that has been used throughout the year. Certified instructional staff will work/teach from home Thursday and Friday.
All MPS sites and buildings will be closed Thursday and Friday.
Twelve-month employees should continue to communicate with their supervisors. MPS is working to finalize plans for all other support personnel to make-up these work days. That information will be released at a later date.
Transportation will not be provided for Oklahoma School of the Blind or to the high school for ICTC students.
With the forecast of severe weather over the weekend, we will continue to evaluate the conditions and make any additional announcements on Sunday evening.
