Due to Icy Forecast, MPS moves to Virtual for Wednesday, Feb. 10th
MUSKOGEE, Okla. - Muskogee Public Schools announced Tuesday evening that MPS will remain in virtual learning for Wednesday, February 10, 2021 due to the impending icy weather forecasted overnight and into the mid-morning hours.
All students will continue in virtual instruction and should follow the virtual schedule that has been used throughout the year.
Certified instructional staff will work/teach from home tomorrow.
All MPS sites and buildings will be closed due to the timing of the forecasted accumulation of ice overnight and throughout the morning Wednesday, which would likely make sidewalks and other walkways unsafe and impassable during the morning.
MPS is working on a plan for all other support personnel to be able to make-up this workday and will release that information at a later date. Twelve-month employees should communicate with their supervisors about the possibility of working from home tomorrow.
Transportation will not be provided for Oklahoma School of the Blind or to the high school for ICTC students.
