Muskogee Schools Holding Drives for Donations to Benefit Community
MUSKOGEE, Okla. - Schools across the district are holding donation drives to give back to the community of Muskogee this Holiday Season.
The Muskogee Early Childhood Center is holding a canned food drive between Thanksgiving and Christmas as part of the school’s “Best Day of the Year” activities. For several years ECC students and staff on that day shop for “Angel” tree gifts, drop off the canned food to the Gospel Rescue Mission, and carol and take gifts to nursing homes across town. Every class in the school is involved in at least one of the activities.
Community members that would like to donate canned food, new toys and clothing for angels and their families, fleece throws, blankets, or socks for local nursing home residents, or make a cash donation can do so by contacting the ECC at 918-684-3770.
Irving Elementary is holding a food drive throughout the month of November to benefit a family in need at the school each year. If you would like to assist in the food drive contact the Irving Elementary office at 918-684-3840.
