Berry Not to Be Retained as Boy’s Basketball Coach
MUSKOGEE, Okla. – Muskogee Public Schools announced Tuesday that boy’s basketball head coach Josh Berry will not be retained in his coaching duties. Berry will remain in his teaching role within the district.
“We have decided to go in a different direction in the leadership of the boy’s basketball program,” said Superintendent Dr. Jarod Mendenhall. “I appreciate the time and effort that Josh has put into the boy’s basketball program. We believe that a change in leadership will spark new life in the program for our student-athletes.”
Berry has been head coach of Muskogee Roughers boy’s basketball since 2012. Prior to joining Muskogee, Berry served as the girls coach at Tulsa Rogers and as a men’s assistant at Independence Community College in Kansas.
