Back-to-Back Alice Robertson GeoBee Championships for Evans
Launch the media gallery 1 playerMUSKOGEE, Okla. – It’s a back-to-back school Geography Bee championship for Alice Robertson Junior High eighth grader Grace Evans.
Friday morning, Evans earned the honor of Geography Bee champion at Alice Robertson besting seventh-grade champion Tessa-Mae Gobin in the championship round.
Evans will take the State Geography Bee qualifying test by February 1. In early March the returning state qualifier will learn of her fate in an announcement by the National Geographic Society for state qualifiers.
The Oklahoma GeoBee State competition will take place on March 29, 2019 in Norman, Okla. on the campus of the University of Oklahoma with the National Championship held May 19-22 at National Geographic headquarters in Washington, D.C.
